Kenneth City real estate · Pinellas County, Florida

Kenneth City, considered.

A small town with a long memory, minutes from everything.

Kenneth City is a town of about 0.7 square miles in south-central Pinellas County, between St. Petersburg and Pinellas Park. It began as 340 acres of pasture, which developer Sidney Colen planned as a town of single-family homes. It was incorporated on April 30, 1957, and Colen named it for his son, Kenneth.

The young town grew quickly: a fire department in 1958, the Kenneth City Plaza shopping center in 1959, a police department in 1960. The town's history also credits Colen with Clearview Oaks, conceived in 1959 and described there as the nation's first condominium.

Our roots run deep here. If you're curious about a street, a home or the town's story, just ask. We'd be glad to share it.

Places

A few of our favorite places

  • Town Hall

Town Hall, at 6000 54th Avenue North, is the center of local government. Its Community Hall, with a kitchen and room for 80, can be rented for gatherings.

  • James P. Ernst Park

The town's park, refreshed with new equipment in 2025, and in a town this compact, it is never far.

  • Joe's Creek, reimagined

Pinellas County is designing a restoration and greenway trail along Joe's Creek, from 37th Street North to 66th Street North through Kenneth City and Lealman. Design runs through mid-2027, with construction expected from late 2027 to late 2029.

It is an estimate for planning, not a tax bill. Estimate yours.
